Ho Vinh Thinh is CEO and Director of the ACTIP Corporation consisting of three companies such as ACTIP IP Limited, ACTIP Patent Limited and the ACTIP Law Firm. Mr. Thinh’s practice includes all aspects of Intellectual Property laws in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar. His legal experience and technical knowledge span a broad spectrum of patent, design, trademark and copyright issues, including the managing of Corporate Intellectual Property Rights portfolios as well as corporate litigation, both criminal and civil. He is also proficient in drafting invention specifications, licensing and assignment agreements, and providing his expert opinion on trade secrets, unfair competition and anti-piracy programs. His extensive experience covers a wide range of enforcement issues and transfer of intellectual property rights, the arbitration of international trade disputes including negotiating and drafting coexistence and settlement agreements.

Mr. Thinh was appointed as General Legal Counsel by the Vietnam Association of Small & Medium Industrial Enterprises [VASMIE] in 2009 to serve a five year term counseling the Association in all aspects of the law, especially intellectual property law.

In addition to actively participating in and providing professional comments for amending and supplementing the Intellectual Property Code of Laws in Vietnam, Mr. Thinh is sought after as an expert speaker on numerous aspects of Intellectual Property Rights in Vietnam.

Prior to establishing ACTIP Corporation, Mr. Thinh founded Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants and was a founding member and managing partner of this firm from 2001 to October of 2012. His patent & trademark law experience also includes five years as Intellectual Property Executive Manager of Concetti IP Agents from 1996 through 2001.

While working at Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants, Mr. Thinh successfully handled thousands of patents, trademarks, designs, and copyright cases including the filing of cases, appeal, litigation and infringement actions in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar.

Mr. Thinh’s academic credentials include a Master of Law from Hanoi’s Vietnam National University in 2003, a Bachelor of Law from Hanoi Law University in 1996, a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hanoi Open University, and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Hanoi Civil Engineering University in 2005.

He is a licensed, Patent Agent in Vietnam, has completed the Training Course on Intellectual Property Law in Japan, and has passed a professional course in drafting Patent Specifications for Patent Experts given by the Japanese Patent Office in cooperation with Japan’s Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII) in 2006.
