Do Thanh Binh focuses her practice on all aspects of patent law and practice covering preparation of patent applications, patent drafting, patent counseling, patentability searching, re-examination, preparing opinion on validity, non-infringement and freedom-to-operate and patent due diligence. Her patent expertise has an emphasis on Chemical Industry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Drugs. She has extensive experiences in all phases of patent litigation and settlement of patent infringement cases including drafting, filing and prosecuting the writing opinions and dealing with patent litigation and dispute. Mrs. Binh is very experienced in examining and re-examining the patentability as well as analyzing and preparing arguments against any office action regarding the patentability of chemical and pharmaceutical arts.

While performing her duties as a veteran patent examiner, Mrs. Binh also devotes a significant part of her expertise to training the new patent examiners of the NOIP in the field of patent law and practice. Mrs. Binh also provides routinely patent legal education and seminars on various aspects of Vietnam patent law and practice.

Prior to becoming a Chemical Team Leader of ACTIP Patent Limited, Mrs. Binh was known as a honorable patent examiner of the first generation patent examiners of Vietnam, and she had ever held the position of Director of Patent Department No.2 of the NOIP, where specializes in examining patents related to biochemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry.

As a formerly honorable patent examiner with more than three decades of experience at the NOIP, she had examined and prosecuted thousands of patents in the field of biochemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry and is well versed in the enormous complex patent litigation cases. During her tenure at the NOIP, Mrs. Binh effectively participated in inter-National Patent Office’s Programs on exchange of experiences in the patent examination with the national and international Patent Offices such as EPO, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Netherland, Germany, Japan and US. In addition, Mrs. Binh also contributed actively her expertise in the establishment of the patent law system of Vietnam.
